The Your Song! Your Voice! winners returned to the road in 2023 to perform their award-wining songs at “in-person” events. We were so excited to be able to showcase: First Place Winner from Mercer County, Jordan Wilson, “Intervention Intentions;” Second Place Winner from Morris County, Tina LaRosa, “Wasted”; and Third Place Winner from Atlantic County, Matt DiTizio, “Revealed.”

Caldwell, NJ - New Jersey Shout Down Drugs was invited to attend the Essex County Prosecutors Youth Conference, held at Caldwell University on December 20. “Top Five,” one of the 2018 winners (consisting of Samuel Anozil, Cincere Saxon, Ivan Fradkin, and Edward Hardy), performed their original composition, “Worth It,” before over 500 middle school students from throughout Essex County.

Nickolas Alu, a/k/a Nick Nubz, kicked off his tour around New Jersey with a performance on June 13 at the 60th annual New Jersey Broadcasters Association Conference at Caesars in Atlantic City. Over 500 members were in attendance during the performance. Nick took First Place Honors at the 2012 Annual New Jersey Shout Down Drugs Prevention Concert with his original song, “Use Your Voice.”

New Jersey Shout Down Drugs 2012 winners went on the road June 8 to perform at the annual HISPA Youth Conference held at Princeton University. The Monmouth County duo, “The Starving Artists”, made up of Kevin Karol and Avery Peterson, performed their winning song, “You Got High;” and Kishawn Jack, from Hudson County, performed his winning song, “Drug Free.” The conference theme was, “Take Action! Achieve Your Dreams,” and was attended by approximately 150 New Jersey eighth grade students.
